GoT: Night King Cake

GoT: Night King Cake

The season finale is this weekend! And man, has this season flown by. And not only because it was so short. I mean there are just so. many. things. happening.

For this finale it seemed only right that the dessert be Night King themed. I mean, obviously. And maybe by making this cake he'll spare you during the unslaught of the undead! Probably not. Ice javelin throwing Kings of the Undead probably don't care about delicious cakes.

First you'll need to grab your supplies, a bundt pan, two packages jumbo cinnamon rolls, 6 tablespoons of melted butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, black and two shades of blue sprinkles, a tiny plastic baby, and a light blue paint pen.

If you haven't picked up on this yet, this is a play on a King Cake. And if you don't know what that is and you're wondering what the heck is going on with the baby, read up on it here. I'm making the eyes blue because remember, the Night King turned all of Gilly's dad's sons into White Walkers with a touch of finger. Like so.

But instead of dark magic or whatever, I used a blue paint pen. It's a little easier.

Once you have your White Walker baby, it's time to make the cinnamon roll King Cake. You just have to brush the melted butter evenly onto a bundt pan, and then evenly coat it with the cinnamon sugar. Then you take your jumbo cinnamon rolls and place them around the bundt pan, overlapping some, and pour on the remaining butter.

Then you just tuck the baby into one of the cinnamon rolls. (A bit further than pictured.)

And put it into the oven until golden brown!

Once cooled slightly, flip the pan over and look at that caramelized goodness!

Pour on the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls, sprinkle on the sprinkles and there you have it! A super easy cinnamon roll Night King Cake!

The only thing left to do is enjoy and find out who has to make the cake next year.
